Update Vehicle Number on eway Bill Portal

While generating of e-Way Bills vehicle number is optional. But without a vehicle number is not legal document for movement of goods. The e-Way Bill portal provides an features to updating vehicle number. Before going to Update vehicle number on eWay Bill Portal, you should be ready with the e-way bill for which you want to update the vehicle no. and the new vehicle no.

# Options

Vehicle Number was not entered at the time of generating e-Way Bill (or)
The goods are shifted to alternate vehicle/conveyance during transit due to break down or any other reasons

Step by Step Guide to Update Vehicle Number on eway Bill Portal :-

# Step 1: To Update vehicle number on eway bill portal :- First login using your user name and password registered with EWB portal. After Login on the E-way Bill portal select ‘Update Vehicle No’ under e-Waybill option displaying on the left hand side of the dashboard.

# Step 2: Select > ‘Show e-Way Bill > Select either ‘e-Way Bill No’ or ‘Generated Date’ enter and Click on ‘Go’ Button

Select the relevant E-way Bill for which you want to update the vehicle numer.

# Step 3: Enter the following details on this webpage:

Vehicle number
From Place
select the reason for the change from the dropdown > Transhipment, Vehicle Break down or Not updated earlier, etc…
remarks if any

Click on ‘Submit’ button.

Note: Instead of vehicle number, enter transporter document number if the mode of transportation is rail, air, or ship.
